‘I begged the universe for a sign he was still with me before falling asleep’: Pupper who passed visits pawrent in dream days after crossing rainbow bridge, giving his hooman closure and comfort in her time of need.

The toughest thing we go through as pupper pawrents is parting ways with our dog children when it comes their turn to cross the rainbow bridge. And while more often than not it is believed they are never to return from their crossing, the pawrent in this story was lucky enough to get one more chance to see her pupper before saying goodbye forever.

While the pages of Reddit's r/petloss subreddit are largely filled with memorial posts and canine pawrents seeking comfort, the story we have pulled out of there has quite the different approach to pet loss. For what this story tells is not only of the premature departure of a soul dog, but also of their return. An experience that allowed this pawrent to heal, and to live the rest of her life with the feeling that somehow, some way, she will meet her doggo again.

Now the idea of reincarnation is not a completely wild one and is believed in many parts of the world. But what this pawrent saw was not indeed a second coming, but a vision in their dream. A moment created either by the soul of their doggo or their mind (depending on your spiritual sway) that allowed for them to say goodbye in the way that they wanted to most. By showing her love and appreciation for the pupper, and by showing herself that her dog is ok, and will always be there for her. Watching her from up above, and one day, guiding her to a new pupper who will fill her soul once more.

Goodness, there is nothing more heartwrenching than having to go through the end of your pupper’s life by their side. You know that there is nothing to do, you know that their time has come far too soon. But all you can offer is some company and the love that you have given to them every single day of their life with you. It takes a heck of a lot of bravery to be able to talk about such things with such openness and we are truly proud of this pupper pawrent for sharing her story with others in the hopes that it would give them hope.

Well, thankfully the sad part of this story is now over, coz dang that was about the saddest and most detailed depiction of a pupper passing that we have come across. But even though it is a story filled with such sadness, it is only so sad for the massive amounts of love that exist within it. Showing just how much this pawrent loved their pupper and would only ever wish for one more minute by their side. Thankfully this pawrent was about to get something that would be far more fulfilling and healing than a solitary minute or two.
